Friendly staff, good tour service (you can access tuk tuk for all day for Angkor temples). Snack bar, complementary fruits. Give the paper with story on night.
Location could be better. Towel was little bit dirty, but it was changed for another.
friendly staff and the story before going to bed
New, quiet, clean, staff kindly. They have free tuk-tuk service in the evening for transport-return to the city center. It is a good hotel with a good ratio quality / price.
A little far from city center. However, they have free tuk-tuk service in the evening and solve partially that problem. There is no lift, so it is a little tired to climb to your room if it is in a level higher than the second or three foor.
Nice pepole working in the hotel. Room basic but clean, good value for the price.
There are some lies on the web pages. There don't rent motorbike, and no bikes! The location is not in the city center, 10 minutes by tuk tuk, while Angkor eat is 30 minutes away.
extremly friendly and helpful staff (especially the current trainee was super-commited), great services regarding transfers (to and from the airport, to the temples, etc.) and board (drinks, cool towel and snacks upon hotel entry / packed breakfast for early birds who want to see the sunrise at a temple, etc), large rooms with comfy king size beds
the staff was amazing, their smiles, their eagerness to make me comfortable, giving me water as soon as i walked in the door from a long day, genunine people. The place is awesome, loved the mini story given at nite for a read.. Fun... Great service, will stay there again, its 5 stars with a budget. Loved the gift i was given at the end of my 3 nite stay
i loved everything...
Staff is extremely helpful. Small touches like fruits and refreshments in the lobby, local story printed on scrolls left on bed, massage in the room, free tuktuk ride to night market/pub street etc... make it a truly wonderful place.
Tuk tuk to town is only free until 10pm though.
I really appreciated my stay at Gloria Angkor. Staff is great, always looking after you, offering water and snacks any time you come back from outside. They offer free pickup at the airport and free tuk tuk to town, just have to ask them. Breakfast is perfect, you can choose between three sets. Rooms are beautiful and clean, everything inside is new, tv has more than 80 channels.
The bad points about Gloria Angkor is that it is located far from town, even if the tuk tuk is free, it is not very convenient. There is nothing around the hotel if you don't want to go to town, the first restaurant is still 10 minutes walking. Considering the heat in siem reap, we were really missing a swimming pool (they will have one next year). Still recommend this hotel, great value !
The staff was very professional, polite and helpful. The price quality is very good. Clean and convenient room for little money. Free Tuc Tucs to the center in the evening. Breakfast was fine.
The only disadvantage was that there was a lot of door slamming, which woke me up now and then. But this was the second night, when the hotel was more occupied.
Worth the money I paid.
Limited choice of menu for meals. One hotel tuk-tuk could not find an address given to him which was not very far away from hotel.
The location is quite far. If you talk to the local tuk-tuk drivers, they always complain that gloria is far such that they can ask for more money. However, the location factor is offset by the tuk-tuk shuttle service provided by the hotel. Remember to confirm with the tuk-tuk driver who fetches you to the Pub Street on the meeting spot and meeting time for your return trip. And do not be late because each tuk-tuk driver has a tight schedule after 8pm. It takes at least 30 min to go back and forth between the hotel and the Pub Street.
When they say that in Siem Reap, one could get 5-star service at a 3- star price, it is definitely the case with Gloria Angkor. I enjoyed my stay tremendously during the past 4 days. Let me try to recount some of the notable stand-outs: - twice-a-day housekeeping - extremely friendly and helpful staff. Dee, one of the inn's receptionists, was never hesitant about sharing info on his home country with me, suggesting routes of visit, etc. I'm very pleased to have started my visit at the Angkor National Museum. - a scroll of cambodian bed-time story for your reading before you hit the sack nightly - heart-warming gift before you leave the inn. Kim, the inn's manager was kind to let me have a piece of Khmer scarf. - allowed me to check-in early with no additional charge. And that included the breakfast. Thank you for your hospitality. An extremely well-run inn and definitely, definitely I'd recommend it to friends who look for a value-for-money accommodation. Note: Some find the location to be a little remote (~15 minutes tuk-tuk ride to the bustling old market/pub street). It didn't matter that much to me but I think it's worth highlighting for full disclosure.
We stayed for 5 nights at Gloria Angkor Hotel and everything was perfect. All staff (the manager, our Tuk Tuk driver Mr. Pon and staff from restaurant and reception) were smiling and making us comfort through our stay. Breakfast was local cuisine and you can demand scrumble eggs free of charge; high valued hotel with super clean rooms and facilities. Everything was perfect and sweet - it's the first hotel I ever had providing ' story' , especially a big THANKS to Mr. Pon, who always kind and nice with us.
Staff is super friendly / helpful and concerned in making clients happy. Snacks and water offered 24h a day.
This hotel is by far one of the best hotels in Siem Reap. Our stay was amazing from the moment we checked in. The rooms are extremely clean with a design befitting Siem Reap. The facilities were great but the best thing about the hotel is the staff. All of them are eager to help. The meals, tour options, and transporation are all top of the line as well. The men at the front desk did an excellent job of helping us make decisions about tourism attractions. I would also suggest booking a guide and transport through the hotel as well. The guide named Lucky was extremely informative and really made our tour memorable. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler. You will not be disappointed.
Nothing. Everything was fantastic
